The 40 Thieves have been an on-going project since late 2003, when Adam Speer and Matt Range started playing drums and bass for open mics and poetry slams around Columbia. Known in underground circles for thier work on the Dylan tribute, the "$4000 track" Subterranean Homesick Blues. Featuring outstanding vocals, they work with several members of The Earthworms and Core Project (RIP) out of St. Louis. For local lyricists, they turn to JG, J Murda, and Steddy P and are always open to meeting other MC's in the Midwest. Their debut album (Grass is Greener) has been released as of May 15.
